Biography
Dr. (Prof.) Raisuddin is an academician, academic administrator and active researcher with a track record of over 25 years. He did his doctoral thesis (Ph.D.) work at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, IITR (a CSIR national laboratory), Lucknow. Initially, he worked as Scientist at IITR, Lucknow and Bose Institute, Kolkata. In 1994, he joined Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi as a faculty in the Department of Medical Elementology & Toxicology. He was selected as Commonwealth Fellow in 2002 and worked for about a year at the University of Plymouth, UK as Visiting Scientist in 2003. In 2004, he visited Czech Republic under India National Science Academy (INSA) programme and spent three months as Visiting Scientist at RECETOX (an EU Centre of Excellence), Brno. For two years (2006-08) he was at Hanyang University (among top 5 Korean Universities), Seoul, South Korea as Professor. He has been the Head of the Department of Medical Elementology and Toxicology for three years (March 2012 – May 2015) and is currently Head of the Centre for Translational & Clinical Research. Dr. Raisuddin has been appointed as a member of editorial board of over a dozen international journals.
